CNC-5 Axis Universal Milling Machine
With Motorspindle for HSC-Universal Cutting

UniSpeed 3

CNC -Control Fidia M2

Basic Machine

Standard design with one set of machine accessories, but without cutting tools.

The machine is equipped with 400V operating voltage, 230V control voltage and 50 cycles.

Noise level, transmitted by air La max. = 75 dBA; will not be exceeded under dry run conditions.

 Basic Machine Includes:

  • Built in CNC rotary table, size 1800mm * 1200mm, with 10 T-slots, 18mm wide and with programmable hydraulic clamping.
  • The smallest increment, which can be measured by the integrated measuring system is 0.0001 degrees.

The feed drive is free of any backlash and infinitely variable from 0 - 2160 degrees per minute.

The rapid motion is 2160 degrees per minute.

  • The headstock is swiveled under full CNC by +/- 100 degrees to the left and right of the vertical position and is also equipped with a programmable hydroclamp system.
  • The smallest increment which can be measured by the integrated measuring system is 0.0001 degrees.

The feed drive is free from any backlash and infinitely variable from 0-2160 degrees per minute.

The rapid motion is 2160 degrees per minute.

The bearings for the headstock swivel action are preloaded to achieve a good damping of the milling vibrations.

  • Preloaded linear roller guides in X-arrangement guarantee a high positioning accuracy and a large weight capacity.
  • The feed drives of the Axes X, Y, Z, B and C are equipped with digital controlled and digital linked servo motors.
  • As CNC control the Fidia M2 system is selected. Other controls, such as Heidenhain or Siemens are available upon request.
  • The interface CNC control to the feed drives works on a digital basis.
  • A direct measuring system of all linear axes is standard as well as an automatic compensation of lead screw errors.
  • The working area of the machine is illuminated with a cold light lamp.
  • The machine corresponds with the actual CE standard and is surrounded completely by a splash cabin.
  • The machine color is Agate grey according to DIN 7038.
  • The motor spindle allows high cutting speeds for the use of modern cutters. High roughing capacities and high finishing feed rates are possible with one spindle only.
  • Technical data of motor spindle:

    RPM max. 12000

    RPM nominal 1500

Power (100% rating) 23.5 kW Torque 145 NM

    Power ( 60% rating) 26.0 kW Torque 160 NM

    Power ( 40% rating) 29.5 kW Torque 182Nm

    RPM/Torque/Power curve is enclosed.

The standard taper of the main spindle is ISO40 DIN 69 871.

The machine is equipped with an automatic tool changer for 24 standard size tools.

The machine control is a highly developed CNC ideally suited for complex shapes and high speed cutting, for digitizing and measuring.

The basic M2 control consists of the main components: Command module IPC and CNC rack. The CNC rack is mounted to the electrical panel and includes:

  • 2 off Fidia CPU2 systems, based on a highly fast 32 bit Motorola processor each with 512 kB flash memory.
  • 500 mb hard disk with SCSI controller.
  • Power supply for all units of the rack.
  • Interface for the spindle.
  • Module for a local TCP/IP connection of the IPC board.

The 2 Fidia CPU2 unit controls the CNC-modes like interpolation, (max. 6 axes, 1 spindle, 2 handwheels), communication, PLC function for management of machine tool logic.

The IPC command module includes:

  • Intel Pentium PC with 32 mb of RAM memory.
  • 500 mb hard disc.
  • 3 1/2" floppy disc unit 1.44 mb
  • Streamer 256 mb including backup software.
  • 14" SVGA display with 8 + 8 softkeys.
  • PC type keyboard with 102 keys (IP54)
